Confidence can be a fickle beast. One moment you might feel on top of the world, and the next you question everything about yourself. Even those with high levels of self-esteem and confidence can struggle to find theirs on occasion.

However, there are plenty of ways to boost your confidence quickly, so you can feel good again in no time.

If you’re struggling at the moment or want to find your mojo more often, these seven tips will help boost your confidence and stop you from doubting yourself every time something new comes your way. You can also watch my meditation video "Building Confidence" which can help you boost confidence at subconscious level.

Tips to Boost Self-Confidence

Be kind to yourself

Be kind to yourself because your are worthy of love

If you are constantly beating yourself up for not meeting expectations or not being “perfect,” you will just make yourself feel worse about the situation. If you find yourself getting critical or negative try

  • to take a step back,

  • to examine the thought,

  • to talk to yourself as you would a friend.

  • to recall childhood situations where you were told "you are not good enough".

Being kind to yourself is pivotal when it comes to boosting your confidence, because if you don’t give yourself the reassurance you need, how will you ever believe in yourself?

Recognize your strengths

When you feel down, it can be easy to focus on your weaknesses and what you “should” be able to do (but can’t). Instead, try to focus on your strengths, what you do well, and what you’re good at. You might be surprised at how quickly you can change your mindset with just a simple shift in focus.

Set small achievable goals

There’s nothing wrong with having really big, lofty goals.

But if you don’t start small, you’ll never reach them. When you feel down and lack confidence, it can be easy to think of everything as too difficult or too big to tackle.

However, by setting small and achievable goals, you’ll have something to focus on, which will help boost your confidence. Once you start achieving, your confidence levels will increase even further. You’ll start feeling better about yourself as a result.

A lot of people feel that confidence is something you either have or you don’t. While some aspects of it are inherent, a lot of it can be learned and built up over time. If you’re feeling less confident than usual, try to figure out where you’re lacking and find ways to improve those things.

Don’t compare yourself to others

We’re all different and we all have different lives and experiences, so it’s impossible to compare yourself to others and come out on top. Stop comparing yourself to other people and begin focusing on yourself if you feel like you fall short or lack the necessary skills. Focus on your strengths and what you can do, and don’t worry about what anyone else can or can’t do.

Practice self-care

Not taking care of yourself is a surefire way to lose confidence in yourself and your abilities. If you don’t look after your body and your mind, you’re less likely to feel capable and confident.

However, if you prioritize self-care yourself, you can boost self-confidence and feel better about yourself in the process. Some ways to boost your confidence by practicing self-care include:

  • meditating

  • exercising

  • eating well

  • getting enough sleep

  • spending time with friends and loved ones.

While these things don’t sound like boosting your confidence, they go a long way in helping you feel better about yourself.

Celebrate your successes

It’s easy to forget to celebrate yourself when you’re focused on what you need to improve.

However, by celebrating all of your successes, you’re building your confidence and your self-esteem, which can help you believe in yourself even more.

You deserve to celebrate all of your successes, no matter how big or small they are. And when you do, you’ll feel better about yourself.

. Conclusion

Boosting your confidence can be easier than you think. The key is to take a step back and put more emphasis on your strengths than your weaknesses. When you do that, you’ll find it easier to believe in yourself and your abilities. That will help boost your confidence in the long run.

If you’re struggling at the moment or want to find your mojo more often, these seven tips will help boost your confidence and stop you from doubting yourself every time something new comes your way.
